Interlining
Interlining is a non-woven fabric primarily used in hardcover bookbinding. It is a significantly cheaper alternative to paper with gauze or pure gauze itself. In terms of processing, it performs just as well, if not better, than its more expensive counterparts. It is ideal for creating rounded book spines. This fabric is applied along the spine of a book to strengthen it and protect the book block from tearing.
Interlining has excellent adhesive properties, making it suitable for automated and manual work processes.
